syncretist I really appreciate how well put together the songs are, nothing feels superfluous and the many influences in the music hang together comfortably, in a genre that often feels ill thought out this is a welcome breath of fresh air.

Grindy disso-tech? Don't mind if I do Favorite track: Rorschach and Delirium.
Ronnie Lacey
Ronnie Lacey thumbnail
Ronnie Lacey Dissonant tech death that brings more to the table than your grandma at a family gathering. I can not explain how good this is. Favorite track: ...And You Will Try To Speak.
mgoldmanmgoldman
mgoldmanmgoldman thumbnail
mgoldmanmgoldman Crushing, moving, and brutal. Many passages echo the dissonance of bands like Ulcerate, yet play it with more flair and variety. It is an instant AOTY contender, 10/10 would recommend. Favorite track: Atop the Wings of a Magpie (feat. Karl Sanders).
Dan Curhan
Dan Curhan thumbnail
Dan Curhan This is a surprisingly fresh sounding offering that toes the line between grindy disso-techdeath and chaotic, blackened hardcore, with plenty of melody and emotion buried amidst tightly spastic riffage and dissonant skronkery. It's fun and dynamic, (though if I had to nitpick, I wish the clean bits were more interesting) with killer drumming and killer vox and killer guitars, and well, killer everything, really. This thing fucks.
Lakrym
Lakrym thumbnail
Lakrym It's certainly technical but not the shiny mechanicalness of most modern tech death. This is gritty and abrasive, with a sense of grind to it. The kind of album that will grab you and hold you in it's clutches for a long time.

1.
I stood at the centre of all creation The elephant had left the room I can’t be the same thing to them And the same thing to you Abide by the rules of the atrium For me the apple tree does lean down low Yet I smell the foul fruit of your endeavours Like a love affair Between a civilian And an army deserter We were doomed Give birth to humble renewal For empty heads Control talking tongues The fate of the feather and the fate of the brick Equally weightless
2.
Black Air 02:52
Black air and tombstones Adapt to blood trauma Systemic acquisition Of that which cannot be owned Life hate and vexation Evolved to sustain Blatant disregard of Organic breath and growth Gold dipped and bleached Embrace sterility Instant gratification Controlling microbes to leviathan We lay waste to all that is your gods
3.
Do you think your severed limbs will be waiting for you in heaven? It takes a special person to realise what they have lost Suffering is essential When atrophy makes you who you are I would hate for you to be missed At your turn to suck the cyst There are many nooses in the trees If you suddenly decide to be free You are not meant to see me For I am not for your eyes But you’re wealthy aren’t you? For misery is the world’s only true currency And at that moment Of your absolute realisation You will try to speak I will wash your mouth out with rope
4.
The dweller in the threshold A world of nightmares Graves opening like flowers No prayers penetrate this frightful maw The stars turn and time presents itself This is the water, this is the well Drink full and descend The horse is the white of the eyes and dark within What year is this?
5.
Like dangling keys in front of an infant Chattering flaking bones I’m building sandcastles from your ashes In the twisted molten mess we created Death machine Hurtling through time and space Consciousness Atop the wings of a magpie Searching for something shiny Obliterate Tangled between sheets of matter Slicing razor sharp splinters Rusted brown like an old barn Rusted red like our own blood As it escapes it binds us Forever entwined in an accident But after all I’m glad it was with you
6.
Pulled from the shelf and cracked the spine Carefully freed like an aged wine Heroic love machine Bursting at the seams Sucking venomous faces Fingered in the right places Damaged delicate parts Remind me of the difficulty between forms I imagine my world without them The fucking sacrifices we make To continuously feed the mutations Forcing sentiment into difference Morbid calculation of the separations Contrary to popular belief We are bound to collapse Lucid visitations are beautiful I get the chance to wake up without you Duvet wrestling for another six hours Recollection can be a bitch But she aint got shit on you!
7.
Eyes shine like the blue on the back of a blow fly I’ve seen you in dreams, I’ve seen you in dreams Floating like the smoke from a fired gun In torturous slow motion I’ve never been told to do something by somebody More adorable or convincing I felt tempted to listen But I’ve seen how this ends The connection was a bastard child of time Nightmare withdrawals crept into my consciousness Reality bit like a saw scaled viper In my madness I accused the sunrise As the venom filled the gaps and I drift away I realise I was never too good at change
8.
Constructed and removed Captive and abused Enveloped and subdued Silverback parade Glaring stares etch scar Brittle bone and plexi glass Iron bars and sunlight fading Single serving enemy of life But your time will come Mother will erase you Carbon transfiguration Ancient law has seen to it Starvation, infection Disease and plague This is your demise You have been warned
9.
Denial is the first step Drenched veins Let the bloodletting paint Rorschach and delirium Blood refracts memory In the crystalline salts of saline demise Blank and empty We seek to interior decorate our breath With colour and meaning Let our sounds be the vessels of conviction And our touch be the action of truth Clandestine laboratories House escape like aviaries With doors left open House birds with no wings Sunken battleships litter your brain Like chewing gum litters ashtrays left in the rain. Sleep evades you like happiness Escape what you will but you will not escape death It’s not peer pressure, it’s just your turn
10.
We blame ourselves for genesis We hold account for destruction Will we ever be worthy of this gift Forcing alchemy within Your earth from the fire The subtle from the gross Embrace the ascent and descent Receive the force both superior and inferior “By this means you shall have The glory of the whole world And thereby all obscurity Shall fly from you. It’s force is above all force For it vanquishes every subtle thing And penetrates every solid thing. And thus the world was created.”
